What the heck is a 413-8 and where does it fit in the Altec hierarchy? Obviously a ferrite 15, but I haven't seen mention of that model.

413s were the 'other half' of the Dynamic Force line. Installed in 800Hz Granadas and Santiagos alongside 411s at 500Hz in Barcelonas. 413s are referenced in the lit as a "411 type". Both were high mass, overhung, and used a half roll doped linen surround. 413s have a 3" coil, painted heavy alum dome, and a (slightly) smaller motor than the 4" coil, paper dome 411. 413 production was short lived, while the 411 transitioned to foam surround and several more years of production, both in systems and as a component.
